MD Nafiul Alam Khan
My Name is Md Nafiul Alam Khan. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nutrition and Public Health at Edith Cowan University's School of Medical and Health Sciences, under the principal supervision of Dr. Lauren Blekkenhorst. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Khulna University in Bangladesh, followed by a Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Malaya in Malaysia. This statistical foundation has been instrumental in my transition to health research.
My current doctoral research focuses on "Dietary Glucosinolates Intake and Cardiometabolic Health across the Lifespan," where I investigate how glucosinolates found in plant foods influence cardiometabolic health outcomes throughout different life stages. This research combines nutritional epidemiology with public health approaches, allowing me to utilise my statistical expertise to analyse complex dietary and health data.
