Alicia Callahan
I’m a new graduate Accredited Practising Dietitian at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba. I completed a Bachelor of Nutrition Science, majoring in Food Innovation, at Deakin University, where I received the award for Most Outstanding Student in my major, before completing my Master of Dietetic Studies at The University of Queensland, where I was selected as the 2026 Valedictorian for the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. My professional interests include clinical dietetics, public health nutrition and food literacy, particularly in the context of type 2 diabetes. My research explores food literacy in adults with type 2 diabetes, which I’ll be presenting at the 2026 Nutrition Society of Australia Annual Scientific Meeting.
