Iveta Harris
Iveta Harris is a PhD candidate in Cognitive Neuroscience at Bond University's Centre for Neuroscience, Cognition and Performance. Her research investigates the neurobiology of conscious choice, with a particular focus on how preconscious brain activity, emotion, and the sense of agency shape voluntary decision-making. Using behavioural methods and electroencephalography (EEG), she aims to better understand the neural mechanisms underlying conscious action.
Iveta completed a Master of Neuroscience at the University of New England, where her systematic review examined how dietary exposures influence the neurobiological mechanisms supporting executive function and decision-making. Her broader research interests span diet, cognitive neuroscience, neurobiology, mental health, and human behaviour, with the goal of advancing an integrative understanding of cognition that informs both scientific research and mental health practice.
