Ayushi Goel
Ayushi Goel is a PhD candidate in Neurobiology at Deakin University, with a research focus on understanding the complex relationships between diet, cardiometabolic health, and cognitive ageing. Her work integrates epidemiological and biological approaches to investigate how lifestyle factors influence cognitive function and dementia risk across the lifespan. Through her research, she explores the role of dietary patterns, cardiometabolic biomarkers, and lifestyle factors in shaping metabolic health and cognitive outcomes.
Ayushi is passionate about interdisciplinary research that connects biological sciences with public health challenges. Her work aims to generate evidence that can inform strategies for promoting healthy ageing and reducing the burden of cognitive decline. Alongside her research, she is actively involved in scientific communication, academic teaching, and mentoring activities. As a neurobiology researcher, she is committed to leveraging scientific knowledge to drive meaningful advancements in health, cognition, and overall societal well-being.
